I'm Back!! Hopefully for good!!

Hello! Remember me?! Well I am back!

So let me fill you in - last you heard I didn't own a house...well we are homeowners now!! We closed the 29th of August! Owning a house is amazing, stressful, overwhelming and exciting! We are loving every minute of it so far.

Both of our cars are in the garage now! Wahoo! Big accomplishment. But our basement and back bedroom are a hot mess! My mom keeps telling me you have 30 years to get organized. Ha! But I want to be organized now :) We are getting there!

Above is our first home!!

So I have almost one project completed. My sister came out on Saturday and we spent the whole day together shopping for furniture, etc.

Here is the first project - the lamps need to go but they will do for now and I need a few more decorations for the table but we are getting there. This is somewhat near the entry way of the house.

And then the hall bathroom project came. So I found a shower curtain I liked and then we bought paint to match. Well I like the shower curtain and the paint just do not think it matches well with our vanity and floor. SO we will be re-painting.

So prior to us painting the bathroom had these diamonds in there. It wasn't horrible just not the best paint job like you could see the pencil lines where they traced it out. It looked like this:

I just wasn't digging the diamonds.

So we did this:

I just don't feel it matches well. Obviously I would of ironed the shower curtain if we were keeping it.

So my next blog will be about some colors I have found and let me know you all's opinions.

Thanks!!

Confession Friday

I confess that we put an offer on a house and their counter offer was ridiculous so we didn't even bother counter offering back. Screw them. I hope their home sits for 6 months. Whoops did I say that out loud.

I confess that I HATE one uppers. When you tell someone something that your excited about and then they come back with something they think is better than what you said. DRIVES ME CRAZY. Can't people just be excited for other people once in awhile??

I confess that I saw this SUV at the post office today. Really? Eye lashes? I hope none of my friends get these :)

I confess that I am exciting to see my in-laws this weekend just not looking forward to the drive since I was just at Advance last weekend visiting friends.

I confess that I am extremely jealous that every third Friday my husband gets to stay home since he is on call that weekend. So he is at home right now. I mean I know he may have to work this weekend but the odds are slim to none. Not fair.

I confess that I have horrible cramps right now and everytime I get them I just think I want this IUD out and let's start a family now. Is that too much information? Sorry.

I hope everyone has a good weekend! Stay cool!

Motivation

Where has my motivation gone? I seriously have NONE. I come home from work and all I feel like doing is laying around. That is not like me. What is wrong with me?
Maybe I am still stuck on the beach life I had for a week?
Maybe I have this saying in my head and I just can't get over it...

Well whatever my problem is I need to figure it out because it is not helping with my dieting and exercising. I have NO desire what so ever right now to exercise. Probably because it is a million degrees outside but still. I have a gym I can go to that is free but yeah I don't go. So frustrating.

And laundry has definatley not been on the top of my priority lately either. Poor Matt. I can't bring myself to do it. Laundry use to not bother me..now I HATE it.

I am definately ready for Fall. I am ready for the fall decorations, weather and yummy smelling candles. AND my room gets married in the Fall :)

Anyone else having motivational problems latley or is it just me? If so, how are you getting through it? I just want to sleep all the time.

Skittles

So lately my husband has had a mad obsession with skittles. I don't know where it came from but he loves them! He says all the time I didn't even love skittles this much as a child. I don't know. Weird.
So there are always skittles in our house currently.
So as I am sitting here eating skittles I wondered what everyones favorite color of skittles is?

Is it....

Mine would definatley be the red skittles!

I know kind of cheesy but I am bored :)

One of THOSE days...

Everyone has them...you know the days where you wish you would of never of gotten out of bed and left the house. That has totally been my day so far today. It didn't help that I didn't get much sleep last night so I was already crabby to begin with. Then once I arrived to work everything seems to go wrong.
The one thing I was super excited about was seeing a house for the second time tonight that we were potentially going to put an offer on. Well I get a call from our agent saying the seller of the home doesn't do showings on Monday and Tuesdays. Really?! Total let down. I mean I understand it would be annoying having to have your house spotless until it sells but you would think if her agent was like "the couple that came on Saturday want to come and look at it again" that MAYBE she would be like yeah sure. O well. So now I am trying to re-coordinate all of this because we really wanted my parents to go with us.
I already told Matt then when we get home from work I want to do an easy dinner and lay around on the couch and just watch a movie or something. I feel like doing nothing or really talking to anyone.
I am hoping for a better Wednesday!!

Weekend Wrap Up

Well it is Monday and I am doing my weekend wrap up! Yay! Better than last week. I took you I could get better at this!

So Friday I arranged a company happy hour after work. There were about 20 of us who showed up at the Syberg's in Chesterfield. We had a good time. After that we went home and changed and let the dog out and then went to a bar in St. Charles to watch a guy Matt works with play in his band. It was a great time. When we got home we worked on some of Holly's tricks she is learning in training. She is learning 'leave it' and doing a wonderful job! Here is proof...

That small thing in front of her is a treat. She is doing good!

Saturday we woke up and went house shopping from noon to about 4pm. We found one we love so we will see what happens! Then that evening we went to my aunt and uncle's house because my cousin was in town from Ohio. We visited with them for a few hours then headed home.

Sunday I woke up bright and early and was in South County by 8am. Katie and I left and headed to Red Bud, IL. We met up with the Walter family and had our first CK (Country Kitchen) experience. It was wonderful!! After that we dropped Josh off and then our journey began to Advance, MO where the Limbaugh's live. On the way down precious Stella did take about a 30 minute nap. Don't you just love her?! She is honestly the cutest little girl!

The Limbaugh's just welcomed a new baby boy to their family named Rowan. He is an absolute doll. I love their house too. Kristen is a great decorator. I am very happy for them!

When I got home that evening after Advance, Matt grilled and after dinner I looked outside and saw that one of our neighbors was getting their SUV repossessed. So of course I had to sit outside like a stalker and see what was going on. Very entertaining. I have never seen that happen in real life. I mean she didn't argue with them or anything. But what is she going to argue about! She clearly hasn't been making her payments for at least 6 months.

Well I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Wedding Videographer

So I was definatley up in the air when we were deciding if we were going to have a wedding videographer or not. Everyone who has had one said it is the best money that they spent so you have to get one. One thing about wedding videographers though is they are EXPENSIVE. We decided to get one because then we can always hear us exchanging vows, the toasts, us saying I Do and all the stuff I never want to forget. We went with Central Illinois Video. They were wonderful and we loved them! They almost have our full video complete but they gave us a sample of our first dance and I wanted to share. My father actually cried halfway through the video which is really sweet because my dad is not an emotional person. I can't believe two months have already gone by. Pretty soon we are going to be in a house and having babies :) Here is our first dance portion...can't wait to see the whole thing!
